Your Friend, Pamela Faye, Inc. (YFPF) was organized in 2013 by Cynthia Rozyla and Karen Garrison.

As a Community Organizer for 13 years with the American Cancer Society (ACS), Cynthia retired from the organization when the focus changed and Patient Services, especially in the more rural areas, were essentially being eliminated.

By creating YFPF we were able to facilitate the large grants formerly being awarded to ACS and continue to serve cancer patients with food, gas, lodging and other help during their cancer treatment.

Additionally, the 501(c)3 was written to serve any unmet needs in a community.  We don’t duplicate services, we fill the gaps.

Karen Garrison met Pamela Faye Houston in 2004.  Pamela loved to sing and started her singing career early in her life. Her dream came true when she made it to Nashville Tennessee and completed two CDs, working with the recording engineer for Elvis Presley and Gilles Godard.

Pam moved back to Idaho in 2001 to live with her son. She then met Karen Garrison in 2004 who became her guardian angel and best friend. Pamela moved to Karen’s property in 2004, where Karen cared for her with the greatest love until her time here on earth had passed.

The rest is history – the 3 ladies came together when Pamela offered to sing the National Anthem at Bonner County Relay For Life with Karen and Pamela welcoming Cynthia into their circle.  Pamela passed away in 2012.  When Cynthia and Karen decided to create a non profit, it was an easy decision to name it after Pamela.

Pam always lived life to its fullest, with humor and love. Her mission was to always make everyone’s life better through her kindness and peaceful nature. Everyone who met her was forever changed, enjoyed her way of life and smiled just being around her – our mission parallels Pamela’s.  We are honored to continue her legacy through good works in the community.

Peace and Kindness to you all!

Cynthia
